Eddie Davis grew up on a family farm south of Jonesville, Louisiana, in Catahoula Parish.  At a young age he learned the hard work, determination, and innovative thinking necessary to succeed in agriculture.  That family farm background, Christian faith, and involvement in Scouts (where Eddie reached the rank of Eagle), instilled in him the character, ethics and values that he has today.

He is married to Heather Davis, FNP and they have a daughter and two sons.   Eddie’s love for the land and all things outdoors is only superseded by his love for spending time with his wife and children.  Fortunately they enjoy those things as well!  Eddie and Heather share a love for Jesus Christ and a passion for serving Him.  Eddie is an ordained Baptist Minister and has served as a Pastor, Youth Minister and itinerant preacher.  He is currently the Pastor of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Eddie began cooperating with LSU AgCenter Research and Extension personnel in his early teen years on plots and demonstrations on their family farm.  Following four years at LSU where he graduated with an Agribusiness degree, Eddie returned to Jonesville and went to work for the AgCenter, managing a research and demonstration farm there. A two year stint with the AgCenter ended when Eddie returned to his family’s farming operation.  After two years in the family farming operation, he was hired by the 34,000 acre Louisiana Delta Plantation as Farm Manager.

There, Eddie managed as many as 34 tenants at a time and was involved in enrolling one of the largest contiguous WRP tracts in the nation.  He was responsible for all leases and rental collection, Government program participation and compliance, liability and crop insurance, capital improvements, and day to day operation of the farm. Eddie also oversaw and managed a hunting operation leasing as many as 60 duck blinds per season.

Following nine successful years and one ownership change on Louisiana Delta Plantation, Eddie found himself moving to Richland Parish to become Farm Manager at Brown Land & Farm Management LLC.  He looks forward to building lifelong relationships and sinking roots in Northeast Louisiana. Eddie would like to help you meet all of your property management needs. He invites you to contact Brown Land and Farm Management at 318-728-8990 and ask for him today.
